Almondina Cookies..Yummy!! Review and Giveaway

I am a little obsessed with almonds! I put hem in my oatmeal in the mornings, I make my own almond butter, I drink almond milk, and even today I had to have the almond croissant at the coffee shop. So when we were asked to review Almondina® Biscuits I was totally on board. Almondina®  is a crunchy almond cookie with no cholesterol and no added fat, salt, or preservatives. As a matter of fact the company claims, "The only fat in regular Almondina® Biscuits is in the almonds, our main ingredient!"  It's an all natural, healthy snack that tastes really good and is even a bit addictive. The story behind the cookie is actually pretty cool as well.  Yuval Zaliouk, an internationally known symphony conductor was given his Grandma Dina's best kept almond cookie secret recipe by his mother.
Long after his grandmother's death, Zaliouk became aware that this cookie was not only delicious but nutritious as well. It would be a great addition to a growing demand of health minded consumers. The almond cookie is now available in all 50 states. You can read more about the story on the company's website and find out more about Yuval Zaliouk 's story by clicking here.

My family and I were able to sample seven delicious flavors and we quickly claimed our favorites. The Original flavor with almonds and raisins was a favorite all around. My husband really liked the Chocolate Cherry and I was instantly addicted to the Cinnaroma® and Choconut.  My step-daughter was not as excited about the cookies as we were,  which was totally fine by me, since it meant I didn't have to share with her;)

One of  the first things I noticed about the Almondina® cookies is how they are so filling,  I was completely satisfied after 2, okay maybe 3:) I also was surprised by how the cookies are just the right amount of sweet. When I first saw the cookies I thought maybe they would be super dry and I would have to eat them with coffee and tea but that was not the case at all. Kevin and I kept grabbing them from the pantry in the afternoon as a snack, even without coffee. I wanted to try one of the cookies a bit of  goat cheesea drizzle of honey and a thin slice of  green apple. .
Sesame cookie with cream cheese, a drizzle of honey and walnuts
Well I didn't have any goat cheese or green apple for that matter,  but I did spread a cream cheese on the Sesame cookies with a little drizzle of honey and a few walnuts on top. Yep it was a great protein middle of the day pick me up and really tasty. One of my complaints about the crispy cookies would be how easily they break in the packaging, and leave lots of broken pieces. My other complaint would be I didn't get to try the Milk Chocolate Almondina®  Delights....haha

The cost of the cookies are about $3.50 a pack and there are many retail stores across the country that carry Almondina® including Cost Plus World Market .

Here are the other flavors available besides what I mentioned:

· Gingerspice - Trend setting, with chunks of Australian ginger
· AlmonDuo® - Double-nut wonder with almonds and pistachios
· AnniversaryT - Award winning delight with a touch of anise
· BranTreats® - Made with oat bran and the finest cinnamon "Cookies For Breakfast"
